From the Archive: Fred Moten’s Anassignment Letters

Since our blog debuted in 2017, we have published 400+ posts.  While some of you may have been with us from the start (thank you, loyal readers!), others may have joined us more recently.

As a result, we’re highlighting some of the posts that have garnered a lot of views or that address topics of continuing interest in the current moment — posts that you may have missed or that you might want to revisit.

Today’s archival find: a post that has remained popular since its initial publication in March 2018: “Fred Moten’s Anassignment Letters” by Chelsea Osadame (MA ’19) and Karla Larrañaga (MA ’19).

Since writing the post, Chelsea and Karla completed the M.A. in Cultural Studies here at Kansas State in May 2019, and both are now finishing their next graduate degrees: Chelsea is completing her Ph.D. in American Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and Karla is completing her Ph.D. in Chicana/o Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara.
