Found Object: Semester Goals

Location: 2nd Floor, English Counseling Services Building
Object: Whiteboard (February 2025)
Observations: 1) Since last academic year, the whiteboard on the 2nd floor of ECS has continued to pose questions, ask for opinions and recommendations, prompt stories, and offer hope and joy.  2) For the past week, it has been collecting goals for this current spring semester. 3) Some goals are time-bound (“Finish a full draft of my project!”), while others mark progress on an extended timeline (“Move towards a Ph.D.” and “Learn new stuff”) or involve others as well as the self (“Make art and encourage others as they do the same”). 4) Between last fall’s sources of hope and joy and this semester’s goals, there also appears to be sufficient interest for a group yoga class. 5) If you’re in ECS this week, stop by and add your goal for the semester before a new prompt appears!
