Object: Tree with new leaves
Observations: 1) The green leaves on the trees around campus herald the arrival of spring, and the tree between ECS and Leasure Hall is looking particularly vibrant in the late afternoon sunshine against a blue Kansas sky. 2) Tomorrow (Wednesday, April 23) at 9:30am, during Arbor Week 2025, University Distinguished Professor Elizabeth Dodd will receive one of the inaugural Roots of Research awards — which means a tree will be planted in her honor on the East side of the ECS Building. 3) Our congratulations to Elizabeth on her award, and our best wishes to the new ECS campus tree!
