Since our blog debuted in 2017, we have published 500+ posts. While some of you may have been with us from the start (thank you, loyal readers!), others may have joined us more recently.
So, we’re highlighting periodically some of the posts that have garnered a lot of views or that address topics of continuing interest in the current moment — posts that you may have missed or that you might want to revisit.
Today, following the release of the New York Times 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century, we look back to a post from March 2022 about the “Manhattan Setting for HBO’s Somebody Somewhere” by Kristin Brighton (BA ’97, MA ’99), co-founder in 2006 of the New Boston Creative Group.
As Kristin explains,
As I watched the first episode with my family back in January, I was tickled to see many local attractions, products, businesses and K-State props featured in the show, piquing my interest to write about it for GMEP [Greater Manhattan Economic Partnership]. I decided to be cautious and watch the whole season first to make sure the favorable portrayal continued, and thankfully, it did! Even better, the show turned out to be endearing and entertaining, making me very excited to promote it as well. HBO has renewed the show for another season, so Bridget and her team are hard at work on new episodes. I can’t wait to see where they take things next!.
