One of our English Department traditions is to share a graduation card with each graduating senior, signed by all of the faculty in the department.
Since we couldn’t offer that tribute during this socially-distanced spring, we identified a faculty member to create a short video for each graduating senior to convey our collective congratulations on their success.
The videos went live on our department’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) during finals week. Today, on what would have been undergraduate commencement, we share them here as a group:
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the English Department, congratulations once again to our graduating English majors — now, our new alumni!
We look forward to meeting in person once more.
