Since our blog debuted in 2017, we have published 500+ posts. While some of you may have been with us from the start (thank you, loyal readers!), others may have joined us more recently.
So, we’re highlighting periodically some of the posts that have garnered a lot of views or that address topics of continuing interest in the current moment — posts that you may have missed or that you might want to revisit.
Today, as we get ready to graduate a new set of undergraduate and graduate alums in the next week, we look back to a post from M.A. alum Brooke Williams (MA ’11).
In her post, Brooke explains how her M.A. in English fostered skills that have ensured her professional success:
When asked to introduce myself, the phrase “I have a Master’s degree in English and I work for dairy farmers” often prompts some confusion displayed on the faces of those inquiring. However, K-State molded the way in which I’m communicating with consumers, thought leaders, partners, and our dairy farm families.
See the full post at “Alumni Spotlight: Brooke Williams” to learn more about how Brooke’s M.A. in English helps her thrive as the Director of Communications for the American Dairy Association in Indiana — and our best wishes to all of our students as they finish classes this week and look forward to next steps after graduation!
