Here at the K-State Writing Center, we can help students become more skilled and more confident writers.

We work with every type of writing assignment, from cover letters to personal statements” to smaller assignments to full-length final papers, and we welcome projects in any stage of completion.

Writing concerns that we address can include but are not limited to brainstorming, drafting, organization, citation, formatting, grammar, style, and understanding assignment guidelines.

 

Why visit the Writing Center instead of using tools like AI?

Writing Center tutors are specifically trained to use good tutoring practices before being hired. These strategies equip us to help our clients improve as much as possible and enable writers to build the mental connections needed to improve their writing long-term. We provide accurate, personalized feedback that answers students’ questions and works with their learning styles and writing levels.

Best of all, working face-to-face with another human being allows the tutee and tutor to build a relationship, which can boost confidence and productivity in writers.
