Object: Flyer for the 2009 reading by graduating M.A. students in Creative Writing, known for many years as the “Masters of the Universe.” Observations: Ten years on, this event — now called the “Farewell Reading” — continues to offer us the opportunity to celebrate our graduate creative writers as they leave with their M.A. degrees in Literature and Creative Writing. Ten years on — thanks to the powers of social media as well as personal connections — we’ve been able to celebrate the many successes of these 2009 M.A. graduates: M.F.A degrees, a variety of jobs, publication of their work, and more.Join us next Thursday, May 16, at 7:00pm at The Dusty Bookshelf, when this year’s graduating M.A. creative writers — Ryan Ellis, Kat Goetting, Dan Haws, Anna Meyer, and Maddie Pospisil — say so long to Kansas State by reading short selections from their creative work.
